About the Rolex 126715CHNR
The Rolex GMT-Master II reference 126715CHNR-0001 was introduced at BaselWorld 2018 as the first GMT-Master II executed entirely in 18 ct Everose gold. The watch features a 40 mm Oyster case crafted from Rolex’s proprietary Everose gold alloy, using the brand’s monobloc architecture with a screw-down case back and Triplock screw-down winding crown. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.
A bidirectional rotatable 24-hour bezel is fitted with a two-colour Cerachrom insert in brown and black ceramic. The bezel’s moulded numerals and graduations allow the reading of a second time zone in combination with the 24-hour hand. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens covers the dial.
The dial is executed in black and configured for high legibility, with applied hour markers and hands filled with Chromalight luminescent material. In addition to the conventional centre hour, minute and seconds hands, the GMT-Master II incorporates an arrow-tipped 24-hour hand. The local hour hand can be adjusted independently in one-hour increments forwards or backwards, without stopping the movement or affecting the reference time display.
Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3285, a self-winding mechanical movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The movement features a blue Parachrom hairspring, Paraflex shock absorbers and a bidirectional Perpetual rotor. It provides an approximate power reserve of 70 hours and supports an instantaneous date display, stop-seconds for precise time setting, and independent rapid-setting of the local hour hand. Following casing, the movement is certified as a Superlative Chronometer.
The watch is fitted with an Oyster bracelet in 18 ct Everose gold, composed of three-piece solid links. The bracelet is secured by a folding Oysterlock safety clasp and incorporates the Easylink comfort extension system, allowing the bracelet length to be increased by approximately 5 mm.
